Inducts new CMO
Acreage inducted Katrina Yole as a new CMO on April 28, 2021. CEO of Acreage, Peter Caldini, said the company is excited to welcome Katrina to its family. Peter said the background of Katrina in managing CPG Brands and Cannabis is a perfect fit for the company as it looks to expand its commercialization and marketing capabilities at the national, state, and local levels.
Katrina will contribute more than 15 years of experience in consumer packaged goods companies like GlaxoSmithKline and Kraft Foods. She recently held SVP (Marketing) role at Curaleaf, another cannabis multistate operator, and lead the marketing functions.
Katrina also played vital roles in leading the marketing activities at Weetabix, Dancing Deer Baking Company, and GlaxoSmithKline. She took responsibility for brands like Kool Stuf toaster pastries, Ritz, and Oreo at Kraft Foods/Nabisco.
Divests Acreage Florida, Inc
Acreage divested its subsidiary Acreage Florida Inc to Red White and Bloom Brands, LLC on April 28, 2021, for $60 million. Peter said the company is committed to strengthening its balance sheet besides focusing on business in core states in the Midwest and Northeast.
He said selling of its Florida operations is a significant milestone for the company and helps return to profitability. Peter further said the company is excited to divest its Florida assets.
Acreage will focus on opportunities for adult-use cannabis in New York, New Jersey, and other Northeast states.
Opens a medical cannabis dispensary in New Jersey
Acreage opened a medical cannabis dispensary – The Botanist Williamstown in Williamstown, New Jersey, on March 31, 2021.
It is the third dispensary in New Jersey of Acreage, and the maximum allowed number of dispensaries for any company to operate.
Acreage completed the expansion of two processing and cultivation facilities in New Jersey. The company is now positioned as a leader to commence the sale of adult-use cannabis.
